Ryan and Jack

When I first met Ryan and her mom, Kelly, they told me that they owed their sanity to Rhonda Rush. Rhonda was the event planner for this amazing wedding. I love how Rhonda manages to make everybody happy while always smiling herself.

Ryan and Jack met in Cuba while attending Semester at Sea thus they decided to have their wedding with a Cuban theme. It was great. They had a real cigar roller, cigar boxes as table centers, a mojito bar and many, many more cool things. Of course, a lot of cigars too.

It was a great experience spending the day with Ryan and Jack; they always had interesting stories to tell. They were radiating so much energy all day and their enthusiasm was contagious. Ryan and Jack, it was a pleasure being your wedding photographer.

It was very cool that my good friend, the talented Scottsdale-based wedding photographer, Hollye Schumacher was able to come along as my second shooter for this event.
I also had the always reliable Oscar Morales come to help out.

Jane and John Wedding

John & Jane received one of the longest one-day coverages I have ever provided and it was a lot of fun. We started at Jane’s hotel capturing her getting ready. I also drove to John’s place to get some pictures of him getting ready with the guys.

The ceremony was at noon at the Apple Tree Church. It was a wonderful ceremony, I loved it. John had some concerns about the lighting inside; but I thought it was the best lighting I have had in the interior of a church. Great spotlights, very dramatic.

After the ceremony we had the most delicious lunch, Korean BBQ, sushi and about 20 other delicious things. It was the best wedding meal I have ever had.

The lunch was followed by the Pyebaek, which is one of my favorite wedding traditions. This one in particular is Korean.

The reception was held at the Westward Look Resort, one of my favorite venues in Tucson. There we had another dinner!!! Yay!!

Everybody danced and it was a lot of fun. John Lockhart, the DJ was the great ; I totally recommend his services.

I loved working with Jane and John; ever since we shot the engagement portrait session; I knew we were going to have a lot of fun at their wedding. Jane and John were also excellent posers for the portrait sessions. They partied hard.

Thanks Jane and John for letting me be your wedding photographer.

Kelly Rashka came along as my second shooter and captured some amazing images.

Here is a slideshow of images we both took:
